NAFC Marine Centre in Shetland is part of the University of the Highlands and Islands and conducts applied research for marine-based industries.
Lovell Johns were asked to design and deliver a custom ArcGIS training course for four marine specialists in order to aid NAFC’s efforts in migrating their GIS based research to ArcGIS Desktop with Spatial Analyst extension. The course mirrored and built on techniques previously used in MapInfo, and used sensitive marine data supplied by NAFC.
